Talking Cancer

You could be forgiven for wondering why a writer and illustrator has a page titled ‘Talking Cancer’. Well, the truth of the matter is that I have a varied background, having started my working life as an engineer. However, after being treated for cancer at the age of 24, I decided to change career and went on to train and work as an oncology nurse at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Now, after more than 30+ years specialising in oncology I can honestly say cancer has occupied the biggest part of my life.

As a consequence of life as a cancer patient, then as a nurse and as a consultant specialising in cancer drug research and development, I have been fortunate enough to acquire a diverse and unique perspective of cancer which I feel compelled to share for the benefit of others.

If you would like to see some of the posts I have released related to cancer please click on the ‘Talking Cancer Posts’ tab which appears when you hover over this page’s tab in the main menu. Whilst my posts are intended to benefit others interested in cancer, they in no way should be seen as a substitute for seeking professional medical advice from your doctor.

If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to to leave a comment.
