In Loving Memory

#DrawingOnAnxiety (5)

Does anyone really care?

It was my brother’s 61st birthday nine days ago. How I would’ve loved to have spent that day with him but sadly, he unexpectedly died alone in his sleep, aged 48, just a few hours after my catch-up call with him. He lay there for 3 days all alone until a Jehovah’s Witness discovered him! It then took West Yorkshire Police another 9 days to inform us, his family, despite an address book at his bedside. A harsh reminder of what a lonely and judgemental society this can be and how help can come from where you might least expect it. So,…I drew this!

Below is one of the many beautiful paintings my brother left behind for us to enjoy. Thankfully he was a bit more abstract than his younger sibling! RIP big brother, we miss you loads!
